PRINCIPAL OBLIGATIONS
PRIMARY BONDS
- Recruit, interview and hire talent
- Work with store management to develop and implement affiliate retention strategies
- Creates a collaborative and inclusive environment by addressing and managing partner concerns
- Communicate and train associates on key priorities to support sales, service and loyalty
- Continually develop and train all associates, including evaluating their performance and implementing promotions or other job changes
- Ensure associates follow Kohl's policies and procedures
- Create a hospitality mentality among all partners on the store and create a best customer experience
- Maintain a customer-ready store environment and ensure associates are held accountable for maintaining high usage and sales standards
- Make informed decisions to support shop cost management (eg payroll, productivity, shortages)
- Assists and guides partners in the business process
- Lead the implementation of all sales guidelines
- Demonstrate product knowledge, understand customer demand and sell best practices to recommend selection and placement
- Collaborate with other store managers to identify trends and opportunities for business recommendations
- Estimates and allocates resources to support business and workload
- Manage merchandise flows by ensuring employees replenish products, making products readily available to customers.
- Use good judgment and judgment to make necessary management decisions
As an assistant store manager, you are part of the store's management team and are responsible for one or more departments and various functional areas throughout the store. Completing basic tasks is essential to the success of the store. You also play an important role in managing the development of colleagues and in evaluating and developing your own development. How you fulfill these responsibilities will depend on a number of factors, including the store you work in, the makeup of the store team, the departments or areas you oversee, and your experience. This is a paid full-time job; the number of hours may vary from week to week.
