In this role, you will assess clients' EDI needs and then build solutions that predictably process their data. You will also work with other EDI team members and internal staff to ensure that the solutions you create are thoroughly tested and comply with customs brokerage rules and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Successfully execute customer EDI onboarding projects by designing, testing and implementing electronic data exchange between Deringer and its customers ensuring efficiency and security.
- Work with the EDI Coordinator or EDI Manager to obtain all customer information for the embedded project. Start the project kickoff meeting with the client and internal staff.
- Maintain a regular cadence with the client throughout the project. Conduct customer data and information gap analysis.
- Create and format EDI files with customer shipment and/or part information using standardized data sets and templates.
- Coordinate customer communication with EDI support staff. Provide proper testing of EDI files.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with client and internal staff.
- Coordinate client's EDI implementation with client and internal staff. Coordinate real-time monitoring of customer EDI with customer and internal staff. Develop technical documentation and train users.
- Provide analysis and support for internally developed products.
- Review system characteristics, workflow, and deadlines to determine if requested changes to the application system are feasible. Analyze EDI process discrepancies and system errors.
- Determine and implement corrective actions. Train other team members for additional tasks. Performs additional tasks assigned by management.

Payment area:
- The salary range for this role is $60,000-$70,000; the final offer is based on several factors, including, but not limited to geography, licenses, certifications and years of experience in the industry.
- Education and experience:
- Experience working in a customs broker/logistics environment (including compliance, IT, operations or warehouse) preferred. LCB certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, supply chain management or similar field is a plus.
- Three (3) years of experience in software and/or database development is considered an advantage.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with leadership.
- Ability to analyze information and translate it into an understandable form.
- Pleasant interaction with the customer base. Knowledge of EDI transaction series is beneficial.
- Willingness to enter into a non-competition/non-disclosure agreement.
