Kforce has a client seeking a Business Data Analyst V, located in Newport, RI.
Responsibilities:
- The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for the support the identification and presentation of actionable insights and contribute to the development of business recommendations
- Develop and maintain quantitative analyses and statistical models
- Develop and maintain standard reporting packages for various audiences
- Participate in identifying and scoping analytical efforts that align with priority business opportunities, challenges, and needs
- Assist in data collection, cleansing, and validation
- Assist in defining data capabilities and explore internal and external data sources
- As a Business Data Analyst, you will develop and maintain data ETL workflows that support report and dashboard automation, as well as process efficiency
- Use data visualization to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions by senior leaders
- Research emerging technologies and make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
- Support efforts to ensure the data standards are developed and maintained
- Create and maintain a data dictionary
- Apply QA and governance best practices across all reports to ensure accuracy and consistency
- The Business Data Analyst will promote utilization of new and existing reports, systems and processes and tools
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions; Ability to understand and foresee implications of new information for current and future problems solving
- An unquenchable intellectual curiosity for getting at the underlying story being told within the data
- Ability to analyze and interpret data from multiple sources
- Takes action to meet internal customer needs and concerns; Considers how actions or plans will affect internal customers; Responds quickly to meet internal customer needs and resolve problems; Avoids over commitments; Responds to internal customer requests in a timely manner to satisfy their needs
- Teamwork/Collaboration; Support team members by establishing effective interpersonal relationships, and cross functional partnering
- Partners across organizational boundaries; Reaches out and to work with people outside of their own department to achieve objectives; Anticipates effects of own area's actions and decisions on other analysts and departments; Influences others to support individual and team objectives
- Clearly demonstrates a good grasp of key job functions, relevant terminology, technical processes and standards
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. White collar workers get pay time. Hourly employees are not entitled to paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees of the Contract Law Project are entitled to paid sick leave.
