As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Perform sales development to achieve sales growth plan for Appleton Products in Metals and Mining segment
- Manage and grow segment sales of Appleton products with targeted key metals and mining customers in the Americas.
- Commit to strategic goals that drive growth in key mining accounts.
- Develop relationships at all levels of target mining accounts, including the C Suite
- Gain a deep understanding of the target customer, their goals/KPIs and identify Emerson technologies that provide viable solutions.
- Document CRM or Emerson account management documentation, account information, personnel and organizational structure on target accounts.
- Identify the most important partners of the target account organization that have influence on development opportunities
- Take a strategic view of your target customer base and clearly define the next steps for each development opportunity

- You will work through formal and informal channels to build extensive relationships and support
- You realize the need to quickly change personal, interpersonal and management behavior
- You will find common ground and reasonable options to meet the needs of multiple partners
- Despite troubling circumstances or setbacks, you maintain a positive demeanor and forward-looking approach
- Required education, experience and skills:
- Engineering or similar sales/marketing experience is a plus
- 3 years of experience in metals/mining business development or metals/mining customer development, marketing or sales roles
- Live within an hour of a major airport
