Works in a fast-paced environment of a central nursing team to implement non-clinical projects and activities. As the first line of contact, this role independently assists both internal and external customers by locating and researching requested information and resolving non-clinical issues within the nursing department. Works with nurse and field staff to schedule patient visits for home infusions. Works as a Nursing Referral Coordinator in the Pharmacy, Claims and Nursing Department. Provides simple administrative and/or other basic services in customer service. Works with various staff, departments and recipes via fax, email, instant message and phone. Respond to inquiries from patients, field staff and other departments in a timely manner for information and assistance. The position requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, multitasking, persistence and flexibility. Answer questions on your own from normal to medium difficulty. The problems are usually of a routine nature. Good knowledge and understanding of customer service and business/operational processes and practices. Improve your organization's image by accepting responsibility for responding to new and different requests. Scale things up as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Using pharmacy and scheduling programs to document home infusion visits and nurse scheduling.
- Interacts proactively with field staff, nurse management and patients. Investigate/investigate issues and provide solutions.
- Possess proactive problem solving and the ability to effectively multi-task and use critical thinking. Accurate and timely data entry into appropriate systems.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to be practically mentored/coached
- Proficiency and use of Excel and Outlook
COMPETENCE
- High school diploma or GED. 3 years of related customer service experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite. Very detail oriented. Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make independent decisions.
