Performs maintenance and audits in 10-15 of our Kohl's stores in select markets, ensuring company brand standards are met. Driving kilometers to and from stores are reimbursed in certain markets. Performs all work with high quality, following all safety rules and regulations. You will be responsible for adhering to budgets and communicating effectively with both internal and external clients.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
GENERAL GROWING
- You are responsible for the timely and accurate execution of work orders given by the foreman
- Ensures that all materials and tools needed for daily work are available and in good condition (Kohl's provides all necessary tools)
- Performs internal repair and maintenance of the store according to the instructions of the Territorial Building Manager, focusing on the repair of doors (interior and exterior finish) and pipes (faucet, WC, hot water boiler, etc.).
- Performs interior lighting and electrical repairs including, but not limited to, light bulb/fixture replacement, plug repairs, annual 90 minute safety light test and repair, etc. Proficient in other interior repair and maintenance including, but not limited to, floor, carpet, tile, patching and paint, carpentry, laminate, wallpaper, furniture and stroller and cleaning equipment repairs
- Performs building exterior maintenance including but not limited to low rise (12-foot ladder access), construction painting, sidewalk/slope painting, power washing and minor common area landscaping, signage and concrete/asphalt maintenance.
identify MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS
- Assist stores with housekeeping issues with solutions provided to Store Associate teams and contract cleaning providers to increase CLEAN presence in store.
- Communicate with store management and regional manager to resolve safety and cleanliness issues and action plans
- Identifies internal and external maintenance issues to be addressed by outside vendors and records them in the online facility management program for determination and completion.
- Communicate regularly with Regional Executive Manager and/or Store and Area Managers regarding stores visited, benefits/opportunities found and issues resolved during store visits. Communication can be oral or email
REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently without direct face-to-face interaction
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with multiple levels of the sales organization
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, web page navigation and can use new computer systems, including smart phones
- 1- years of previous maintenance experience with a strong focus on door, plumbing, electrical/lighting and general repair services
- Previous work experience in maintenance of commercial or office premises
- You know the tools and tasks of general maintenance
