Full Job Description
Personal Support Professionals (PSS) assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as outlined in the client's service plan. Personal Support Professionals always deliver exceptional customer service. PSS will follow infection control procedures using universal precautions and use appropriate procedures to ensure safety. The PSS will often visit many clients' homes during this shift and will be responsible for transportation. This position will meet the requirements of an irregular and flexible schedule, work during the day and on weekends and will travel within 30 miles of home.

Services include but are not limited to:
- Follow up on customer service initiatives
- Assist client with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, nails, hair, skin and foot care.
- Assist clients with disposal needs such as assistance with going to the bathroom or commode, assistance with bedpan or bath, catheter, ostomy and oral 'incontinence' care.
- Help the client with car needs, assistive devices such as walkers, canes, wheelchairs, bed mobility, bed and chair transfer, Hoyer lift, gait belt and ROM, mobility under the supervision of a specialist.
Transportation is authorized
- Assist the client with their dietary needs, including meal planning and preparation, shopping, helping or encouraging eating
- Assists clients with household chores by performing proper housekeeping procedures such as cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, vacuuming, washing, laundry and when needed, shopping and groceries.
- Observe, report and document any changes in the client's physical or mental state, such as eating, sleeping and general behavior.
- Promote a healthy and clean environment
- Reporting any safety hazards identified at home
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Proof of $50,000/$100,000 auto insurance and a valid Maine driver's license are required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Proof of 10th grade is required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Computer experience and must be able to access email/internet
- PSS Certification (free training for you!)
