Liberty Mutual is currently hiring an Equipment Failure Risk Control Consultant to provide inspections and other jurisdictionally required services to a select client base.

In reporting equipment failures to the Engineering Manager, you:
Conduct judicial inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in designated areas and communicate inspection results to judicial authorities and other relevant parties. Support underwriters in risk assessment audits and act as a technical resource for adjusters in the field

- Conduct extensive research and data collection to help identify sources of client risk, loss and cost.
- Collect data from field visits, various reports and databases to assess current processes/practices, determine severity/frequency of problems and identify needs.
- Evaluate and measure customer performance against internal and industry standards.
- Interpret and analyze data to determine the best course of action and/or decision to meet the client's risk management service needs.
- Use advanced software applications to help create innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet clients' risk management service needs. Conduct a cost-benefit analysis to determine how and when customer operational/facility improvements will pay off. Check for causality.
- Preparation of technical reports and data evaluation reports. Organize data in a format that is easy to present to customers.
- Prepare and present reports outlining action plans to improve practices and/or change employee culture/behavior.
- Maintain effective collaborations with clients. Understand the client's business to determine risk management objectives and needs.
- Ensure accurate and concise communication and mutual understanding with clients. Keep customers informed of service status, available support materials, and relevant external resources to identify customer security issues.
- Participate in customer training and development. Monitor the execution of the plan.
- Provide technical support to help implement recommendations/action plans.
- Advise clients on technical matters. Actively pursue professional development to better meet client expectations.
- May actively participate in new business acquisitions by following up on leads and making recommendations to potential clients. qualifications

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications:
- National committees are needed. Knowledge, skills and experience in boiler and pressure vessel inspections, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solution management and progress measurement.
- Interpersonal, writing and other communication skills are essential to developing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues and industry contacts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mathematics, engineering or a related field of study, plus at least 3 years of directly related consulting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using a variety of proprietary software applications and to create/edit documents and spreadsheets using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work closely with claims and underwriting. This position requires regular travel.
