This Sales Manager is responsible for generating business with new accounts and expanding opportunities with existing customers. Key responsibilities balance pure headhunting/direct sales and affiliate sales, leveraging and developing relationships within the Microsoft sales ecosystem, most importantly with Microsoft Account Managers, as well as adjacent ecosystem partners. Candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of selling cloud technology solutions and technical services, as well as building trusted relationships with C-level decision makers and business partners to effectively identify, approve, maximize and ultimately close deals. We focus on the needs of our customers, so a consultative sales approach is key; First, we listen to their challenges to determine how we can best address and support their ongoing needs. Basic duties
- Identify and develop relationships with the company's key C-level and executive personnel through prospecting, marketing leads and expanding existing accounts.
- Create marketing strategies for Emergent Software solutions within accounts.
- Learn and understand customers' business and technical requirements to sell effective solutions that drive business value and have a clear ROI.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with AE and field sales teams from Microsoft community and ecosystem partners.
- Understand Emergent's marketing strategy and competitive environment to differentiate and highlight Emergent's competitive advantage.
- Manage all stages of the sales cycle, including lead identification and qualification, scoping, proposal development, client presentations and contract negotiations.
- Assist the marketing team by obtaining customer references and creating case studies.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecast accuracy through prospecting calls and meeting with customers and partners.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual reserves and margin goals. Increase customer awareness and business development in various service areas, focusing on balanced business, selling space to existing customers.
- Collaborate with technical delivery teams to develop compelling, customized offerings that meet client needs and balance the continuum of delivery capabilities across emerging practices.
- Keep an updated and accurate pipeline in CRM. Comprehensively understand the account's current technology platform and proactively help plan the transition to cloud-based solutions.
- Become a trusted cloud advisor for your chosen portfolio of accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Lower university education and/or a similar combination of education and work experience. 5 years of sales experience.
- roven experience in complex sales, solution sales and strategic customer management is a plus.
- Candidates with previous sales experience in Microsoft services and solutions will be considered an advantage.
- Candidates with previous sales experience in custom software, IT or cloud transformation services are preferred.
- Strategic account planning and execution skills. Proven track record of exceeding quotas. Service sales experience in selling through a channel environment.
- Passion for introducing and leading disruptive solutions that help clients evolve and transform into digital organizations.
- Passion for customer experience and consulting that helps clients achieve their goals.
- Ability to handle conflicts. Able to prepare and conduct complex conversations. Pay attention to detail and insist on excellence and "getting it right the first time".
